Whether it&#8217;s your first time here or you&#8217;ve been a few times before, there is so much to do in this fun city that there&#8217;s always something or somewhere new to explore! After visiting several times in the past couple of years, I have some favorite places to share with y&#8217;all, some of which that are more well-known, and some that are more off the beaten track. Most recently, I stayed at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.airbnb.com\/rooms\/4958707\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this<\/a> Airbnb that was very convenient for walking to The Gulch and to the cute Edgehill neighborhood. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.airbnb.com\/rooms\/16299296?location=Nashville%2C%20TN%2C%20United%20States&amp;guests=1&amp;adults=1&amp;s=fxDNZesc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">This\u00a0<\/a>one also looks to be a great location that&#8217;s even closer to Broadway!<\/li>\n<li>If staying in a hotel is more your speed, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omnihotels.com\/hotels\/nashville?utm_source=GMBlisting&amp;utm_medium=organic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Omni Nashville Hotel<\/a> has a great spa and rooftop pool, and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aertsonhotel.com\/nashville-hotel-deals\/?&amp;utm_source=Google%20My%20Business&amp;utm_medium=organic&amp;utm_campaign=GMB&amp;utm_term=aertson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kimpton Aerston Hotel <\/a>is in an amazing location, right on Broadway. In downtown Nashville, some must-visit sites are the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nashvilledowntown.com\/go\/shelby-street-pedestrian-bridge\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pedestrian Bridge<\/a>\u00a0for a fantastic view of the skyline, and just walking along Broadway itself to people-watch and stop in some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitmusiccity.com\/visitors\/honkytonkhighway\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">honky tonk bars<\/a> for the incredible live music.<\/li>\n<li>My favorite park in Nashville is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nashville.gov\/Parks-and-Recreation\/Parks\/Centennial-Park.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Centennial Park<\/a> (not to be confused with the also-lovely Bicentennial Park!) that features a replica of the Parthenon and walking trails around a pond that are perfect for enjoying on a nice day.<\/li>\n<li>Germantown is an adorable, walkable neighborhood that I love to explore, with lots of cute boutiques and restaurants, as well as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nashvillefarmersmarket.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nashville Farmer&#8217;s Market<\/a> that is open year-round.\u00a0The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitmusiccity.com\/plan\/neighborhoods\/12south\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">12 South<\/a> neighborhood\u00a0is also not to be missed, with tons of great shopping and restaurants, and some great street art, like the famous &#8216;I Believe in Nashville&#8217; sign and Reese Witherspoon&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.draperjames.com\/store-locator-nash\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Draper James store<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>If you&#8217;re looking to experience a bit of history while in Nashville, taking a tour of the 19th century\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 27.2px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/bellemeadeplantation.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Belle Mead Plantation<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>is the perfect way to do just that. They offer a variety of tours,\u00a0including a fun segway tour!\n<p><figure id=\"attachment_596\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-596\" style=\"width: 586px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"  wp-image-596 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wherekatieis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/snapseed-56.jpg?resize=586%2C806&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"snapseed-56\" width=\"586\" height=\"806\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wherekatieis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/snapseed-56.jpg?w=750&amp;ssl=1 750w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wherekatieis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/snapseed-56.jpg?resize=218%2C300&amp;ssl=1 218w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wherekatieis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/snapseed-56.jpg?resize=744%2C1024&amp;ssl=1 744w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 586px) 100vw, 586px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-596\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">At the adorable Draper James store in 12 South.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Where to eat:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gosh, I could do a whole post on where to eat here alone (and I probably will, at some point!) but here are some highlights. For brunch, <a href=\"http:\/\/edgehillcafe.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Edgehill Cafe<\/a> is a bit more off-the-beaten track (meaning less waiting!) and has delicious omelets, waffles, and much more. They are also very allergy-friendly, which is perfect for me with my gluten allergy.<\/li>\n<li>I also love <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theflipside12south.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Flipside<\/a> in 12 South, a retro-type diner that does a great weekend brunch which includes their full lunch and dinner menu too. I can personally vouch for how great the Pollo Ranchero and the Popeye is, but it&#8217;s hard to go wrong with anything here!<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fivedaughtersbakery.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Five Daughter&#8217;s Bakery,<\/a> with locations in 12 South and East Nashville, has out of this world donuts, including paleo donuts (that are gluten-free!) and vegan donuts too. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.christiecookies.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Christie Cookie Co.<\/a> also has incredible cookies to satisfy your sweet tooth, with a location in Germantown and one in 12 South.<\/li>\n<li>I love sushi, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pmnashville.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PM Nashville<\/a>\u00a0in the Belmont area does not disappoint, especially with their unique sushi burritos! <a href=\"https:\/\/germantowncafe.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Germantown Cafe<\/a> (in, you guessed it, Germantown!) is also a great choice for lunch or dinner with classic southern fare that&#8217;s as well-priced as it is delicious.\n<p><figure id=\"attachment_584\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-584\" style=\"width: 585px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"  wp-image-584 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wherekatieis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/snapseed-46.jpg?resize=585%2C697&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"snapseed-46\" width=\"585\" height=\"697\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wherekatieis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/snapseed-46.jpg?w=750&amp;ssl=1 750w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wherekatieis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/snapseed-46.jpg?resize=252%2C300&amp;ssl=1 252w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 585px) 100vw, 585px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-584\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">It&#8217;s hard to resist these amazing donuts from Five Daughters Bakery<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Have you been to Nashville before, or is it on your travel list?
